Sycamore School District Announces 83 ILMEA All-District Musicians

Thirty-eight high school and forty-five middle school students from the Sycamore School District were recently selected as members of the 2025 Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) All-District Orchestras, Bands, Jazz Bands, and Choirs.

Students who were chosen for All-District ensembles recorded material for judges in competitive auditions in October.  Students selected for the jazz bands will perform a concert at Auburn High School in Rockford, Illinois on Saturday, November 1.  Students selected for the orchestra will perform at Moline High School on Saturday, November 8, while the selected Band and Choir students performed at DeKalb High School on Saturday, November 15.

HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR:

Soprano – Evelyn Irwin, Rosemary McConkie; Alto – Blake Bright,  Lila Ezell, Clara Wirsing; Tenor – Felipe Beharovic, Miles Doty, Cohen Jennings; Bass – James McConkie, Chase Weckerly. 

HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA:

Violin –Marlie Colness, Emma Force, Kamden Johnson, Ellie Lawless, Gus Riebe; Viola – Teagan Hagemeyer; Cello – Genna Hendricks, Evelyn Irwin, Callista Morton, Evan Tonaki.
