New Rates for Substitutes Beginning November 27, 2023

On November 27, 2023, the following substitute rate changes will go into effect for both certified and nurse substitutes:

• The daily substitute rate for Teachers and Registered Nurses will change to $120.00.
• The daily rate for one (1) to ten (10) consecutive days in the same assignment will change from $110.00 to $120.00.
• The daily rate from day 11 to the end of the assignment (consecutive in the same assignment) will change from $150.00 to $175.00. 
  • If a substitute has an active PEL and the appropriate endorsements in the area of their assignment, they will be defined as “Highly Qualified” and will receive a rate of $220.00 from day 11 to the end of their assignment.
