Lily Jones Named Rotary's September Student of the Month

Sycamore Community School District 427 congratulates Lily Jones on being named Rotary's September 2025 Student of the Month!

Lily Jones is a hardworking student, who is very dedicated to her education and involvement within the Sycamore community. Beginning her career as a Spartan at North Grove Elementary, Lily has continued to grow her work ethic and drive throughout her time at Sycamore High School.

In school, Lily is a committed athlete, participating in both volleyball and track and field. On top of this, she also participates in National Honor Society (NHS), Interact Club, Peer Pals, and Environmental Club. Outside of school, Jones is an active member of the community by volunteering her time at both Tails Humane Society and the Sycamore Public Library. 

Lily has a passion for giving back to others, which is evident in her involvement, as she serves as a leader for her peers. As she commits herself to many activities, she gives 100% into all that she does, showing just how much she strives to be her best.

Looking ahead, Lily plans to attend a 4 year university, where she will explore different interests with hopes to obtain multiple degrees to get the most out of her time in college. She is interested in pursuing a career in nursing, nutrition, physical therapy, environmental science, or foreign languages. Though she is still deciding between Loyola University, SLU, and Mizzou, she knows that studying abroad is a non-negotiable for her, as it is very important to her.
